CONE TOOLS (CT)
Abstract
Cone Tools (CT) is made to retrive the most advanced information from the data obtained by running the Cone Calorimeter. It is well known that the Cone Calorimeter gives basic properties of combustible materials, such as heat release depending on heat exposure, heat of combustion, rate of smoke production etc. Cone Calorimeter data may be used for estimating thermal properties, as k(rho)C data, critical heat flux for ignition etc. The data may even be used as input to mathematical models to predict full scale fire behavior of the tested materials. CT include two of the EUREFIC models in a user friendly PC-program. One model can be used for the purpose of classification and the other is a model for the calculation of time to "flashover" in the Room/Corner test.
