- Many experimental and theoretical works have been performed in the field of compartment fires to elucidate the room fire behavior. And some theoretical approaches to the flashover mechanism have been reported in whick the flashover was thought as a jump from one equilibrium to another. This jump phenomenon was also observed in the experimental works of Takeda et al, who investigated the whole aspect of fire behavior using liquid fuels.
