- Abstract
- A discussion of the nature of specific causes of unnecessary and endangering smoke movement encountered in the field along with the methods employed to acquire evaluative data/information for such determinations are presented in this paper. Since the theoretical fundamentals which form the basis of smoke movement in buildings have been well covered many times, this paper will touch only briefly upon the fundamental principles in order to establish some continuity with the more pragmatic aspects which have been encountered in field work in both new and existing buildings.
