- As part of recent involvement in planning for the future of fire protection engineering development, Bud interviewed leaders in both fire science and applied fire protection engineering to find out how science and engineering interacted in the past. Bud merged this data with his own experience to produce a paper entitled "History of Fire Technology". This seminar will cover this work with additional discussions and comments not included in the paper. Some of the areas to be covered include risk appraisal, suppression, compartment fire modeling structural endurance, and fire incident reconstruction.
