Abstract
Schools require special attention and treatment when making plans for a fire emergency. Of basic importance are regularly rehearsed fire drills. Planning is important because the occupants of schools are commonly of various ages, sizes, and nationalities, and, in some cases, are blind or otherwise physically or mentally handicapped. The number of studients and staff personnel differ from one type of school to another and frequenctly building employees do not remain the same during the entire term.
