Abstract
ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH The calculation of fire protection devices for stocks with filled bottles and returned empties is handled differently in practical construction of buildings. Reasons are the insecurity by valuation of fire behavior of such stocks. On the one hand it is possible to calculate a high fire load of combustible materials, on the other hand it is uncertain if this fire load takes effect by filled bottles. These questions led to various test, which were made at the MFPA leipzig with test pieces in original arrangements. The results of these tests confirm that plastic cases can easily ignite, irrespective of, if it deals with empty cases, empty or filled bottles. By exclusive storage filled bottles burn very slowly under low heat but the flames do not extinguish on their own. But it is also possible that by presence of other fire loads (such as empty bottles, piles of wooden pallets) filled bottles burn down totally. Empty cases and returned empties burn down very quickly with high temperature after a short ignition phase. Critically must be looked at the area with returned empties. The extinguishing effect of filled bottles can not be used by returned empties. Examined damages underline the test results.
