- Abstract
- Initial work during the past year was devoted to the application of the theoretical modeling methods to the simulation of the optical data on the growth of soot particles that have been previously reported. This theoretical work provides a background for the experimental activity that was the principal focus of effort during the past year. All of these activities and their results are summarized below where a listing of the immediate goals of the research is also provided.
