Abstract
Snow, particularly when accompanied by extremely cold weather, may be regarded as a winter wonderland to some, but to others, snow storms, if severe enough, are paralyzers of cities, takers of life and destroyers of property. A heavy snow storm and extremely cold temperatures can be a fire fighter's worst enemy, causing delay in response and adversely affecting fire fighting operations.
