- Abstract
- This volume of the Final Report summarizes the work of Project Flambeau during the period 1964-1967. It outlines our present knowledge of mass fires and suggests some of its characteristics, describes the research approach used, the test fires - including selection of fuel type, fire configuration, and fire size; and development of instrumentation - and discusses the results obtained. And it defines a mass fire and suggests a prescription for an experimental mass fire.
