- The goals were to exchange concepts, needs and information on research programs among various Government Activities, Industry and Academic; inform Industry of procurement plans for fire tolerant products and materials; provide a forum whereby Industry could present their advances in developing fire tolerant products, techniques and materials; and to inform Industry and other Government offices of the progress and plans made in implementing Passive Fire Protection initiatives in the Fleet since the first symposium.
