- Abstract
- Due to investment in fire fighting and other equipment, there has been a decrease in the typical area devasted by fire. However, the number of deaths caused by building, ship, vehicle, and other fires do not have been successfully decreased. While some victims are found within the area of fire spread, many are found in areas removed from the point of the fire.
