- Abstract
- The following section of the standard along with the corresponding section of the commentary is based in essentials on data obtained in connection with the current revision of the directives of the National Swedish Board of Building and Planning for the building by-laws, BABS 1960. With reference to protection against fire, loadbearing aluminum structures shall be designed so as to satisfy the requirements stipulated by the proper authority regarding the prevailing characteristics of fire load and the progress and duration of the fire. The fact that these requirements are met shall be verified either by theoretical calculations or empirically by fire tests.
