- Abstract
- Toxicology studies were conducted to determine the acute and chronic effects in laboratory animals of repeated exposures to anticipated field concentrations of a red phosphorus-butyl rubber smoke formulation. Animals were exposed 5 days per week for up to 12 weeks with no inrreversible toxic effects. Some were held for up to 2 years with no evidence of latent toxic effects or exposure-related tumor formations. The exposures had no observable effects on reproductive processes.
