- char samples have been produced, under oxidative pyrolysis conditions, from Australian bituminous and subbituminous coals under high heating rate conditions in an entrained flow reactor. The samples were collected, characterized, and stored under inert gas; chemical analyses of test coals and coal chars; chars were produced under high heating rate conditions, collected and characterized, and stored under inert conditions before being used for combustion experiments at a range of residence times and stoichiometries; summary of char N studies
