- [ONLY ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH] A series of 14 extinguishing tests with alcohol resistant foams has been conducted according to the present drafts for ISO- and CEN-standards for fire extinguishing foam concentrates on water-miscible fuels, ISO/DIS 7203-3 and Draft pr EN 1568-4, respectively. All the tested concentrates are tested according to the Nordtest method for foams, NT-FIRE 023, and all meet the requirements for using the P-mark. Based on the results, it seems that all foam concentrates fulfilling the NT-method using Type II application also will achieve extinction Klass I according to the ISO/CEN draft. The introduction of the ISO/CEN standards will not result in any significant reduction of the foam quality compared to those requirements used at present. However, there are some problems and need for changes which will be proposed when the proposals will be distributed for comments and voting. The two main aspects are that the rim of the fire tray must be increased and that IPA should be included as test fuel.
