- Abstract
- As you can see from the title of my paper, my subject includes both regulations and standards with regard to fire detection systems in the U. S. As used in my paper, a regulation is a rule, ordinance or law prescribed by an authority to regulate some aspect of conduct. In the context of this paper, an example would be a requirement or law imposed by a local building code authority which would require the installation of automatic fire detection equipment in all newly-constructed buildings of a specified occupancy class.
