Abstract
This report describes the research project and summarizes the results of the program testing the fire performance of composite polymeric exterior walls used in one-story and two-story residential dwellings. It describes the results of three tests conducted using traditional load bearing wood study exterior walls. It introduces the test method developed to evaluate exterior fire performance and presents the results of exterior corner fire tests conducted using traditional wall assemblies and using innovative wall designs. Also discussed are the criteria for low-rise residential exterior walls. Study data and illustrations are supplied. (Author abstract modified).
