Abstract
On the statics design of tall building, the structural safety against several loads is checked carefully by engineering methods using an electronic computer and by the personal experience. To the contrary, on the fire safety design of tall building, the safety of human life and the structural stability against fire are checked in conformity with the articles of building code and by the personal experience, not checked by an engineering methods. Fig. 1 and 2 show design systems for the safety of human life and the structural stability against fire, commonly applied in many countries nowadays. When the detail of construction is forced to decide along the specification only, the intention to make an effort to use some scientific methods for determination of construction is gone down.
