- Faced with a rising fire loss that has been moving relentlessly upward since 1934, this Conference is exploring all the possible solutions to this staggering national problem. While this report is basically an approach to the problem in the field of academic education, great emphasis also needs to be placed upon the importance of adult education as applied to the fields of commerce and industry. This report is intended to explore ways and means of intensifying instruction in basic fire prevention at all levels of education and in all types of schools - public, private and parochial - and to point up the responsibility we all owe to the youth of the nation.
