- Abstract
- This is a report of the findings and recommendations of the ad hoc group of toxicologists and fire scientists brought together by the Center for Fire Research of the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) to perform the task in the first element of the "National Response to Public Concerns about Smoke Toxicity". The group's assigned task was to review the suitability of available smoke toxicity test methods for the purpose of screening products for extreme toxic potency or unusual toxicological response. This ad hoc task group report has been forwarded to the National Fire Protection Association and the American Society for Testing and Materials who have agreed to coordinate public/industry review and comment on it.
