Abstract
This report summarises a series of tests on various types of roof insulation on steel profiles. The tests were carried out in test houses 3 x 5,3 metres and up to 2,7 metres high. The roofs were exposed to heat from a local fire, consisting of a wooden crib of up to 100 kilogram wood inside the testhouses, simulating a fire in the initial stages of the pre-flashover fire. In order to avoid influence from weather conditions, the test was carried out in three houses with three different types of insulation materials. The influence of the size of the initial fire and of the room height was also examined. Temperature were recorded during the test, and visual observations were made.
