- Abstract
- The Public Buildings Service of the General Services Administration sponsered a week-long conference at Airlie House (Warrenton, Virginia) April 12-16, 1971. The conference was developed with the advice and assistance of the Building Research Advisory Board, National Academy of Sciences; the National Fire Protection Association; the Building Research Division, National Bureau of Standards; the Building Owner's and Manager's Association; and the Federal Fire Council. This conference brought together approximately 70 experts to undertake a concentrated interdisciplinary effort to systematically explore new or revised approaches to slving the problems of fire safety in high-rise buildings.
