- World Trade Center (110-story-high) Towers, Manhattan, New York, September 11, 2001; flashbulb memory; 1481 undergraduates from the University of Alberta participated; 1481 participants were surveyed 424 hours or 10 days after the event; 142 participants were re-tested in April 2002; Mean word count as a function of Wave and test; Mean level of emotional arousal as a function of Wave and test; percentage of scores at each level of consistency for people, location, and activity; in this study we initially tested one group of people shortly after 11th September, and another group ten days later
