- Abstract
- The mission of the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) Program for Information and Hazard Analysis is to characterize fire hazards. As part of long-range NBS planning, we have developed a way of defining scenarios representing specific fire problems, based on all available fire data and expert judgment. Figure 1 presents the most important fire scenario from the viewpoint of life safety.
