- Abstract
- Part 1 of this paper discussed the general behavior of reinforced plastics in contact with hot gases. Part 2 presented some theoretical derivations and a set of equations which appear to lend themselves to the machine computation of steady state ablation rates. Part 2 also listed the materials properties and chemical kinetics data required for the solution of the proposed equations. The purpose of Part 3 is to discuss the measurement of the pertient properties and to describe the work which has been done toward measuring some of the properties.
