- Abstract
- For fires in buildings, the ability of occupants to safety egress from all threatened spaces is equivalent in a condition of life safety. The purpose of this paper is to propose a practical formaulation of the life safety problem based on the application of this equivalence principle, and to formulate a compatible framework for research, develoment and implentation.
