- ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH Nine European states worked together in EUREKA-Project EU 499 FIRETUN referring to the background of increasing problems with safety of underground traffic structures. By mutual efforts an extremely extensive and compact equipment with measuring instruments in a 2300 m long experimental tunnel was possible. During the period of 1990 till 1992 21 single experiments were altogether carried out. By then a great number of important results could be achieved.
