- Abstract
- The tests described hereunder were carried out in the Steinenschanze underground car park, with a view to - checking its safety installations - testing the new combustion gas detector specifically designed by Cerberus Ltd for car parks and garges - measuring the temperatures produced by a fire, and - measuring the production of combustion gases and smoke. They also were to give the administrative testing authorities and project engineers the possibly most realistic picture of the effects of a car park fire, so as to enable them to better understand the diverging needs for economically viable buildings and operation and the highest possible fire safety.
