Abstract
Schirmer Engineering Corporation contracted with the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) to provide an audit and analysis of the fire protection and life safety features of Pennsylvania Station (Penn Station) and associated rail tunnel system in New YorkCity, New York. Computer modeling was required to establish emergency ventilation and smoke control requirements.
