- Abstract
- A modification to the Carnahan-Starling equation of state to describe the properties of refrigerant materials and their binary and ternary mixtures is discussed. A detailed discussion of the ability to fit and predict the thermodynamic properties ofR22 is included. The representations arising from limited and extensive data sets are compared. The binary mixture R22/Rl14 is discussed and compared briefly to other binary refrigerant mixtures. The ability of this model to describe ternary mixtures without any ternary information is discussed. Present uses of this model are described.
