- Abstract
- This paper summarizes the status of ongoing efforts in the United States to address substantive technical concerns relating to the smoke toxicity hazards from accidental fires. This topic is of particular interest to the Center for Fire Research of the National Bureau of Standards since the central thrust of our research program is to develop quantitative tools for fire hazard and risk analysis and the scientific and technical bases for improved fire protection technologies and practices.
