- Abstract
- This report discusses a portion of the research completed under NBS Grant No. 5-9020, in the period July 1, 1975 to June 30, 1977. The work described here considers a two-dimensional thermal plume rising along a smooth vertical wall which is at the ambient temperature. This condition is representative of the early stages of wall heating by a fire plume. The results are limited to the weakly buoyant portion of the plume where physical property variations are not large and radiation from the plume can be neglected.
