- Abstract
- Since the early 1970s, the Working Party on Building of the ECE Committee on Housing, Building and Planning has studied building regulations and actively promoted the international harmonization of their technical contents. The present ECE Compendium of Model Provisions for Building Regulations constitutes a synthesis of the experience gained in this work. The purpose of the Compendium is to provide up-to-date material to assist public authorities and other bodies concerned in the revision of national building regulations and related documents. It is also hoped that the Compendium will serve as a tool to facilitate the harmonization of building regulations in the ECE region and thus contribute to a wider exchange of building products and services among ECE countries.
