- Abstract
- Terminals are often fitted to chimneys, flues and ventilation exhausts specifically to increase air movement and prevent wind-induced flow-reversal. This paper discusses a testing procedure that establishes both the wind performance and flow resistance of free-standing terminals. It can be used as a basis for terminal manufacturers to test their designs, and the findings from such tests indicate which designs are most suited to particular applications.
