- [ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH] When calculating the threat a fire in an underground facility can create, it's of greatest importance to be able to describe the development of the size of the fire. In this work an extensive literature inventory has been done and contacts with a lot of fire consultants have been taken. The development of the fire is described either by the fire area or heat output as a function of time. Mainly fires in cables, different vehicles, leakage of flammable liquids and stored goods are treated. Shortly the effect of sprinkler on the heat output is described. It's pointed out that still a lot of knowledge is missing regarding for example the effect of sprinkler, preburning time, oxygen depletion and the influence of wind in a tunnel.
