Abstract
The inability of small scale fire test methods to predict the fire growth potential of building materials, particularly plastic products, in their end-use configuration, has led to an interest in the use of full scale room fire tests. In addition, a standard room fire test can be used as a development tool and a performance evaluation method for a series of smaller, less expensive tests as they are being developed and proven.
