Abstract
A series of large scale compartment fire experiments have been carried out by Shell Research Ltd, Thornton Research Centre at the Norwegian Fire Laboratory (NBL) operated by SINTEF at Trondheim, Norway. The experiments were designed to provide data on fire severity and smoke emission suitable for hazard model validation and guidance on risk assessment, for a range of fire scenarios. This report contains the data generated in Test COMP-20, sonic gaseous propane from a horizontal nozzle, directed onto an instrumented target in a compartment partially ventilated through a roof opening.
