Abstract
[Abstract in English] A numerical fire model based on methods of computational fluid dynamics is described. The three-dimensional field model KOBRA-3D is applied to typical fire scenarios, including the ignition of a stack of wooden pallets and a fire inside a large industrial building. Local and dynamical characteristic quantities like temperature, gas velocity and smoke concentration are presented. These quantities are required for the analysis and design of automatic fire detection systems inside complex buildings. An an example, the response of a heat detector system is investigated by calculating the corresponding detector actuation temperature as a function of space and time.
