Abstract
When several fires from liquid pools burn in close proximity, the flames tend to interact or merge depending on their spacing. A series of tests were run with various hydrocarbon fuels in several different burning pans and geometrical configurations to determine the effects of interaction on burning rate, flame radiation, flame trailing, and flame heights. This paper will present only a brief description of the experimental techniques and a summary of the burning rate correlation.
