- Abstract
- This report contains test data on a polystyrene foam/phenolic composite material developed by Koppers Company and evaluated as a fire retardant packaging material on an Ames Thermal Test Fixture (T-3). This material is more resilient than most fire-retardant foams, but does not afford sufficient fire resistance to warrant its use as a military packaging material. The purpose of this report is to discuss the evaluation of a polystyrene foam/phenolic composite as a fire-retardant packaging material.
