- Abstract
- The Center for Fire Research participated in the study of a large scale burn of logging slash in Ontario. Our goal was to estimate the overall rate of heat release in an instrumented portion of this fire and use the result to calculate the near-ground flow pattern. The necessary steps in this process and the difficulties encountered in dealing with this complex fire will be discussed.
