- Abstract
- Following a literature study of relevant data, a facility was designed and constructed for the testing of titanium fires in pressurized flowing air. The facility ignites titanium and supports its combustion under conditions similar to those occurring in practice. Tests were conducted under various airflow conditions and with various extinguishants. Results are presented and discussed.
