Abstract
ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH Yearly more than 170 million people are using the Hamburger undergound. Even if everything is done to prevent fires and catastrophies right from the start, it is still necessary to make preparations in case of a heavy break-down. Like all undergrounds in the world the Hamburger Hochbahn AG has made a lot of organizational and technical preparations. They have a high developed alarm systems, extended team-work with the fire services of Hamburg, who give permanent training to the underground staff and a reasonable amount of vehicles and stops. These preventations are not only dealing with "Fire in an underground train" and "Fire at a stop", but also other dangerous cases, e.g. high storm water, derailment, bomb threat or extreme snow-fall.
