Abstract
The study of the structure of laminar flames, an active branch of combustion research, is concerned with measuring the detailed temperature and composition profiels of flames and interpreting this information to explain flame behavior and elementary flame processes. The most significant flame process are chemical reaction, convection, diffusion, thermal conduction, and thermal diffusion.
