- Abstract
- A general one-dimensional transient heat and mass transfer numerical program has been developed for composite building constructions. Since typical building constructions consist of a series of composite layers and intermediate air layers transient heat transfer is modeled by spaces. In addition the program has buildt-in features for ease of solid-to-solid and solid-to-air interfaces are encountered. The complete Fortran language program as used on the NBS Univac 1108 computer is given. A discussion of the program and instruciton for its use are facilitated by the aid of examples. Numerical solutions using the present program compare favorably with experimental data in standard fire endurance tests.
