Abstract
The method of obtaining nonflammable cellulose ethers by treating cellulose-containing raw material with phosphorylating agents in an organic solvent at a high temperature is distinguished by the fact that with the goal of broadening the raw material base vinyl cellulose ethers are used as the cellulose-containing raw material and the phosphorylating agent we use phosphorus derivatives of a given general formula and the process is conducted at a temperature of 40-150 degrees centigrade.
