Abstract
In conclusion, it was considered that the performance of Royal Navy warships met and exceeded expectations and the merchant ship conversion work was satisfactory for the task. Perhaps more important, the men and women who manned the Task Force Ships were well able to meet the challenge that the operation provided--a tribute to their professionalism and personal qualities. Hopefully the lessons learned from the compaing will help to provide better warship design solutions in the future.
