- Abstract
- Cotton fabrics/shirts were treated with a tetrakis(hydroxymethyl) phosphonium hydroxide flame retardant finish and subsequently cured with gaseous ammonia. The final treatment comprised adding-on dicyandiamine phosphoric acid. The fabrics were tested for irritant or allergic reactions on the skin in order to establish their suitability for spacecraft crew use.
