- Abstract
- The fire resistance characteristics of nine experimental water-base hydraulic fluids developed under Bureau of Ships contracts were studied. While some improvements in fire resistance have been achieved, none of the fluids have completely satisfactory fire resistance. In-house efforts are continuing to obtain satisfactory fire resistant, water basefluid formulations.
