- Based upon a proposal from its Employee Effectiveness Task Force, the Construction Industry Institute awarded a grant to Prof. William F. Maloney of the University of Michigan to conduct a preliminary examination of employee involvement and its potential applications in the construction industry. There were four major objectives of the study: 1) Conduct a detailed review of the literature on employee involvement; 2) Develop a contimuum of employee involvement paradigms; 3) Identify construction applications of employee involvement paradigms; and 4) Develop recommendations for further research into employee involvement.
